The Research Activities (RC) of Harbel College’s students and faculty are increasingly diverse and intense. Undergraduate students conduct research in Liberian studies, education, engineering, humanities and the arts, natural sciences, mathematics, the social sciences and other fields to make HARCO be widely recognized as a premiere institution for student involvement in scholarly activities
Scholarly activity is original and creative work that is shared with colleagues and the general public. The RC of Harbel College promotes scholarly activities and professional development of undergraduate students in the college’s three schools and nine disciplines. To this end, the RC has four primary responsibilities.
- Encourage student involvement in scholarly activities:
- Provide students with resources and information for scholarly engagement
- Encourage faculty mentoring of students
- Organize the annual HARCO Student Research Conference
